“On The Up” The Lighter More Efficient Mountain Rescue Vehicle

Our latest conversion was for Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team, Toyota Hilux Double Cab complete with slide out laptop table and power points / 240V power supply and stowage compartments for all of the emergency and rescue equipment.

Our conversions are built to last the full vehicle lifecycle. We use the highest quality materials and components assembled with dedication and care to create a vehicle that delivers day in, day out over the long term ensuring mountain rescue vehicles can respond to a wide variety of different incidents, over rugged terrain, often a good distance from the nearest road especially in extreme weather conditions, or when roads are flooded or covered in snow and ice.

Consequently, the majority of mountain rescue vehicles are four wheel drive, which allow a hill party of five and all of their equipment to be taken as close as possible to the casualty site.

Vehicles are modified – and liveried appropriately with blue lights and emergency markings, as well as a team’s identity – to suit the needs of the individual team. Some may purely be people and equipment carriers, but the majority are adapted and fitted out to enable use as an ambulance like the new hilux for Calder Valley  which are capable of transporting a casualty to hospital if necessary.

Many Thanks to all the team at CVSRT for choosing Pickup Systems LTD to provide you with the finest vehicle conversions and look forward to working together again in the future.
